European Personal Construct Association

About Us

Origins

EPCA came into being in 1990 at the Personal Construct Psychology (PCP) conference at York when participants recognized the need for some permanent professional association which would:

  1. Provide focus for PCP in its own right
  2. Provide a forum for PCP on a pan-European basis (and beyond)
  3. Facilitate opportunities to connect with theory, practice and training in PCP and enable personal development in those areas.

EPCA invites you to Connect, Communicate and Contribute to the collective understanding of Personal Construct Psychology within European context and beyond.

Mission Statement

To raise awareness, share understanding and facilitate the practical use of PCP amongst Europeans.

Aims

To provide a platform for the exchange of information between its members that will enable:

  1. Sharing of ideas centered on PCP
  2. Promotion of PCP applications
  3. Signposting of PCP training events.

How we connect

  • Through attendance of meetings, workshops and conferences signposted on EPCA website
  • By providing opportunities to connect and network for members of like interests through a members-only section of the EPCA website and EPCA conferences.

How we communicate

  • By posting and sharing PCP news on the website from different parts of Europe and the World
  • By posting conference abstracts, whether from PCP conferences, other conferences, dissertations etc. that will raise awareness of ongoing work.

How you can contribute

  • By joining EPCA and sending us information about yourself and your interest in PCP that will enable other members to connect with you
  • By actively engaging with the PCP community, networking, promoting PCP and sharing your work and methods
  • By attending and/or presenting at bi-annual EPCA conferences
  • By sharing your suggestions with the EPCA committee on how to use our website better. We would like to hear from you!

How you can promote events on EPCA website

You can promote PCP-relevant news and events on EPCA website by sending them to infoatepca-net [dot] org or go to forum and add a news.
